Online Interview with Ivie Baker
Hi. My name is Ivie Baker and I am a full time Realtor for Kehoe Realty of Gladwin.
This is my online interview.

Clients will often ask me what I do differently to help market their properties, compared to other
agents in my area.
First of all, I want to stress the importance of advertising on the Internet. Agents just having their
own web sites isn't good enough anymore. People need to easily find the web sites when doing
individual searches online.
I've built several web sites that rank extremely high on all of the major search engines. These web
sites get anywhere 3000 to 6000 hits per month with top placement on all of the major search
engines.
According to a study released by the National Association of Realtors, over 75% of today's
buyers will use the Internet to ad them in finding real estate. That's over three quarters of the
buyers out there! If a property isn't being advertised on the Internet, then the seller is missing out of
a large percentage of prospective buyers selling!
With online advertising, virtual tours now play an important part of showcasing property. I feel that
virtual tours should be done for all properties, including most vacant land. These virtual tours are
posted on all of my web sites and if possible, on other web sites we advertise on. Some of those
web sites include realestate-mls.com and yahoo real estate.
Another neat thing I started doing for my sellers, is to post and assign them their own personal
web log.
What is a Web Log? Basically, it's an online journal to help communicate with my sellers. It's a
great way to keep a records of advertising, inquiries, appointments, showings and feedback. I also
post virtual tour hits and other useful information on there for each property. It's a really neat tool to
use to keep an active record available for the sellers to view any time they want. This service has
gotten rave reviews from many of my sellers.
Of course, we still advertise in many traditional ways too. We still do a lot of newspaper advertising,
as well as real estate magazines and bulk mail fliers. We even do radio advertising. We are also
members of the local MLS. Not only will we know your property is for sale, but so will all of the other
real estate agents in the Clare/Gladwin area.
You'll also appreciate the friendly and helpful sales staff at Kehoe Realty. I can't say enough good
